Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has just been equipped with a 668 hp supercharged V-8
and a standard six-speed manual transmission (#SaveTheManuals)
The new
American super sedan will compete with legendary German sedans, including the
503-horsepower BMW M3 competition, the 503-horsepower Mercedes-AMG C63 S, the
600-horsepower BMW M5 and the 603-horsepower Mercedes-AMG E63 S, and the
717-horsepower Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
The 2022
CT5-V Blackwing starts at $84,990, although the M3, C63 S and Hellcat are all
cheaper. Two other German cars start at more than US$100,000
Cadillac's
new CT5-V Blackwing is the last of gasoline-powered V-type cars, but it
is the
definitive internal combustion product with high horsepower impact and standard
manual transmission. The new Blackwing is equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8
supercharged engine, which can output 668 horsepower. It is a convincing choice
among a series of popular super cars such as BMW and Mercedes-AMG and Dodge's
quintessential American muscle. The caddy is a perfect fusion of high-end

The 2022
Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing starts at $84,990 and will be available this summer.
However, given its base price, the $73,795 BMW M3 Competition and the $77,250
Mercedes-AMG C63 S are interesting competitors. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
is the cheapest and most powerful of these cars, starting at $71,490. For the
standard 600-horsepower model, the BMW M5 starts at $104,495, and the
Mercedes-AMG E63 S starts at $108,550
Important Information About The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
Compared
with the M5, E63 S and Charger SRT Hellcat, the CT5-V is the smallest
alternative model, although it is the same height as the E63 S at 56.6 inches.
The BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S are significantly smaller. Currently, the
Charger SRT Hellcat only offers Dodge's wide-body treatment, which is 4.2
inches wider than the Blackwing. The length of M5 and E63 S is the same at
196.4 inches
Engine Of The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
The CT5-V Blackwing is powered by a 6.2-liter
supercharged V-8 engine, which produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of
torque. It is sent to the rear wheels via a standard Tremec six-speed manual
transmission, although there is a 10-speed automatic transmission. The two AMGs
and M5s are powered by twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engines. In its basic
form, the BMW M5's rotational power is 600 horsepower, while the Competition's
output power is 617 horsepower, while the new lightweight M5 CS model can increase
627 horsepower
In the C63, the 4.0-liter engine can produce 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, or 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet, while the E63 S raises the stakes to 603 horsepower and 627 feet. The M5 uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, while AMG transmits power to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission-the C-class transmits power to the rear wheels, and the E-class transmits power to the rear wheels. There is no manual here, but you can have one for the basic 473 horsepower BMW M3
If the
668 horsepower of the American four-door sedan is insufficient, the Dodge
Charger SRT Hellcat exists. Its 6.2-liter V-8 supercharged engine has a basic
power of 717 horsepower, and it also provides a Redeye with 797 horsepower.
Sadly, there is no manual gearbox in the Charger Hellcat (although its
Challenger coupe brother has one). It sends power backwards through an
eight-speed automatic transmission
The Performance Of The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
Cadillac
claims that when equipped with an optional 10-speed automatic transmission, the
CT5-V Black Wing will reach a speed of 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of
more than 200 mph. The fastest CTS-V we tested reached 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
The C63 S sprinted at 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, and the Charger SRT Hellcat
sprinted in 3.8 seconds, but no rear-driver could keep up with those chasers
who delivered excellent power to the four wheels. The BMW M5 Competition
reached this speed in 2.9 seconds, and the E63 S reached this speed in 2.8
seconds. BMW claims that the new rear-drive M3 competition will reach a speed
of 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, but an all-wheel drive version will be introduced
later, which will undoubtedly pull it down to 2s
The Interior Design Of The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing
Blackwing
provides three levels of internal options (basic, intermediate and advanced),
and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions are standard. Options
include a seat with a more active padded carbon fiber backrest and a heated and
ventilated seat with massage function. Blackwings has a 12-inch digital instrument
panel that can display performance settings, a 10-inch touch screen, carbon
fiber trim, and a 14-speaker AKG audio system. Both M5 and E63 S have available
massage seats, digital instrument panels and carbon fiber trim strips. The
Hellcat's interior is the least luxurious in this group and is in desperate
need of refreshing. Models like the 2021 Durango full-size SUV will be the
beginning
