The M version Sport Changes
The M version of any BMW raises visual and performance expectations, and the top-of-the-line M8 Gran Coupé delivers on both counts. As is often the case with BMW, the M8 receives additional M sport badging on the interior and exterior.

The car is generally well-made, and what the BMW lacks in excitement and updated interior design over rivals, it more than makes up for with superior build quality.
Exterior Design
The BMW M8's styling is nothing short of spectacular. With its intriguing four-door layout in coupé form, it strikes the perfect balance between a coupe and a sedan.
The aggressive styling is accentuated even more by the M8 model, and it's all the better for it. Dashes of carbon fibre on the exterior and slightly more aggressive bumpers complete the look. The updated and more sporty sloped rear and thinner taillights look great as well.

The Engine
All of that acceleration and high-end top speed wouldn't be possible without what's under the hood of the M8, and BMW has fitted the Gran Coupé with a masterpiece of an engine.
The M8 is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 with twin turbos that produces 617 hp. Again, this is comparable to supercars like the Aston Martin DB11 and some of Chevrolet and Dodge's more powerful muscle cars.
Supercar Performance
The M8's performance is truly incredible because, while it is obvious that this is no ordinary BMW, the speeds the M8 is capable of hitting are still jaw-dropping.
The M8 Gran Coupé accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds. This means it accelerates faster than a McLaren 720 S and a Lamborghini Huracán EVO, putting it on par with a slew of other supercars. The M8 has a top speed of 190 miles per hour.
Drivetrain Configuration and Modes of Operation
The M8 Gran Coupé's all-wheel drive system and inclusion of multiple driving modes is one of its most appealing features, adding a desirable level of versatility to the vehicle.
The all-wheel drive system provides good traction both on track and in everyday driving; however, the system can be changed to make it two-wheel drive, and disengaging the front wheels allows the car to drift easily.
