Celebrities Drive the best Modified Classics

Your favourite celebrity could be starring in a Hollywood film, kicking a soccer ball for a European club, competing in the NBA, or musically transporting us in a melodious lyrical voice. They could also be a media personality like Oprah Winfrey or a well-known car collector like Jay Leno. Whatever they do, their situation isn't something they awoke to one day. They certainly put in the effort to hone their skills and conquer the world. They make a lot of money as a result of this and can now afford several luxurious rides in their garage.

Aside from cruising in the world's most advanced vehicles, some celebrities have a soft spot for vintage automobiles. They pick them up, dust them to the best of their ability, and give them enough individuality to adequately complement their owner's abilities. Such celebrities understand the value of classic cars and go to great lengths to give them a great look as well as matching performance features. Celebrities who ride in epic restomods include WWE champion John Cena, young pop singer Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga.

There's a reason why these celebrities and the rest of us adore vintage automobiles. These vehicles command a certain level of respect and evoke memories and emotions that are well worth the investment.
Read on to see some of the cars that celebrities have chosen from the past and modernised for daily use.

Lady Gaga ( 1967 Ford Bronco )

Lady Gaga, without a doubt, enjoys making headlines and knows how to do so. If it isn't through a great song, it could be through her fashion, courting trouble, or some seductive stage performance. The “Perfect Illusion” singer owns a 1965 Lincoln Continental Convertible and a 1967 Ford Mustang, among other retro mods.

Among her prized possessions is a 1967 Ford Bronco. This Ford, which appeared in her hit single Perfect Illusion, is powered by a 4.9-liter small-block V8 with 200 horsepower. It's undeniably a fun way for the famous songwriter and actress to go on an off-road adventure or run through the desert like she does in the video.

George Clooney ( 1959 C1 V8 Corvette )

You may recognise actor George Clooney from the 1994 television series ER, as well as Solaris, Out of Sight, and Ocean's Eleven. He has, without a doubt, been on our screens long enough to earn enough money to buy a good modern or classic car.

Clooney, a self-proclaimed car and motorcycle enthusiast, gave up riding after being involved in a serious road accident, though he escaped unharmed. In his garage, he also keeps a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette V8 C1 convertible. The Corvette belonged to his father, former journalist and news anchor Nick Clooney. Clooney Sr. told one publication, "George always coveted my 1959 Corvette, which I bought to court my wife." “He always wanted to drive it, but I was always hesitant to let him... It was a source of contention for him throughout his adolescence. Clooney Snr would later give it to him to help him relax after his divorce from his wife.

John Cena ( 1970 Plymouth Superbird )

It might be useful to mention that John Cena owns more than 20 muscle cars. As a result, the 1970 Plymouth Superbird mentioned here is just one of his many beloved oldies. He considers it one of his favourites because it was featured in the film Cars. "It's an extremely odd-looking car," the wrestler says. "In the film, it was the car with the wing. It has a massive 19-inch metal nose cone and a 72-inch aluminium wing at the back."

Cena's Plymouth Superbird is unique in that it was built as a NASCAR machine and thus has the tools and features to compete as well as the good manners to hit a top speed of 150mph. Under the hood is a 5.0-liter engine with 425 horsepower. "You can't go anywhere without making the car the talk of the town. It's long, it's ugly, and it definitely turns heads." With his trademark grin from the corner of his mouth, Cena explains.

Lisa Bonnet ( 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible )

Any man or woman would be overjoyed to be reunited with the car they first drove when they were 17 years old. This was the case for actress and activist Lisa Bonnet when her husband restored a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible she had driven when she was 17 years old.

Jason Momoa, best known for his role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, undertook a thorough restoration of the Mustang, replacing many of its components and tweaking the engine.

Such projects certainly warm the heart, and this one is purely romantic. “I know we can't erase memories, but maybe we can rebuild them.” Momoa remarked, admiring the new car.

Eric Bana ( 1974 Ford Falcon XB Coupe )

Eric Bana, a Hollywood star, is so fond of the car he first drove as a teenager that he made a documentary about it. The film Love the Beast, released in 2009, tells the storey of Eric Bana's 1974 Ford XB Falcon Hardtop. He paid $1100 for it when he was fifteen years old. The film is used by the successful actor to explain how repairing and racing this car has influenced his life and the lives of his friends.

Bana is so attached to his XB Falcon that he went to great lengths to restore it after a harrowing crash in 2007. "I got to the point where I started missing the car. I got to the point where I felt like the car wasn't just mine, but that it belonged to a lot of other people as well, thanks to the movie." He had to cast a wide net to find a suitable restorer, which took more than a year. It is, without a doubt, a lovely gem that anyone would want to keep for a long time.

Robert Downey Jr ( 1965 Chevrolet Corvette )

According to Forbes magazine, Robert Downey Jr. is the highest-paid actor, earning $80 million per year. He had topped this list for three years in a row, earning enough money to indulge in whatever hobby he desired. It just so happens that his favourite hobby is also our favourite, with the exception that we do more writing while he drives.

Iron Man and Tony Spark are two of his most memorable aliases, as seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film franchise. Among his most recognisable vehicles is a restored 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. There aren't many details available about this coveted ride, but we're content with the fact that it comes from one of the best seasons ever.

Justin Timberlake ( 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible )

According to legend, Justin Timberlake became so attached to the Pontiac he drove in the 2012 film Trouble with the Curve that he had to buy one for himself. His hunt led him to Texas, where he discovered one being restored. He contacted the owner less than 10 hours later, and the deal was completed.

Timberlake's 1967 Pontiac GTO has been transformed into a work of art that any car enthusiast would adore. The black muscle car is spotless, thanks to its lipstick-red interior and redline tyres. Without a doubt, a fitting ride for one of the world's most talented pop stars.
