The Fastest Cadillacs

The Cadillac Motor Car Division, founded in 1902 in Michigan by William Murphy, Lemuel Bowen, and Henry M. Leland, has remained one of the top American brands in luxury vehicle manufacture. The brand is a division of General Motors that targets the luxury automobile markets in several countries, including the United States, China, and Canada.

The Fastest Cadillacs

Cadillac is well-known for being a technological innovator. The company was the first to implement complete electrical systems and steel roofs. Cadillac's first vehicle was produced more than a century ago, and the brand has evolved in terms of style and keeping up with modern trends since then. One of these areas has been speed; the automaker has produced faster models year after year. Let's take a look at the top Cadillac models of all time.

2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

The special Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, regarded as the brand's most powerful creation to date, will be available in dealerships in 2021. The CT5-V Blackwing, a successor to the outgoing CTS-V, was supposed to be released in 2019, but production was hampered by the global pandemic.

The CT5-V Blackwing combines luxury and explosive speed, with a supercharged V8 producing 668 horsepower. It can reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 200 mph.

2018 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan

Because of its performance focus, the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan model has gained popularity among luxury car enthusiasts. The CTS-V is Cadillac's most powerful model, with a supercharged 6.2-L V8 producing an incredible 640 hp and a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12 seconds.

This super sedan is a blast to drive, with a top speed of 200 mph. Its precision, excellent road manners, and braking would make any driver shiver. The only complaint might be that the car is as thirsty as a drunk.

Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

Cadillac's CTS line includes a number of fast models, with the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe standing out as the fastest. It is powered by a frontal 6.2L V8 modified Petrol engine that generates 556 horsepower and propels the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds.

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe was quite popular when it first appeared on the market in 2010, as it was the brand's first coupe since the Cadillac Eldorado. The Coupe had a top speed of 191 mph but was phased out in 2015.

Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

Because only 514 units were built between 2011 and 2014, this grand waggon weighing an incredible 4497 lbs commands a premium on the market. Cadillac's station waggon was unlike anything we'd seen before, and it competed primarily with the Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon.

Its 6.2-L supercharged V8, which is now used in the Camaro ZL1 and Corvette ZR1, wowed a few gearheads. The waggon, which is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, has a top speed of 190 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, which is faster than a BMW M4 and comparable to a Porsche 911.

Cadillac ATS-V

The Cadillac ATS-V is a high-performance variant of the ATS line. The model was introduced in 2016 and came in two body styles, with a turbocharged DOHC V6 engine producing 464 hp and a sport-tuned suspension.

With the automatic transmission, the vehicle could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 189 mph. Despite being less expensive than both the Mercedes-AMG C63-S and the BMW M3, the ATS-V outperformed both German models.

Cadillac STS 4.6 V8 AWD

The Cadillac STS 4.6 V8 AWD, whose line began around 2008, only lasted for three years. It was terminated in 2011. But the Cadillac STS 4.6 V8 AWD brand made its mark during the fleet’s short span. It was one of the line’s fastest brands. Armed with a 4.6 V-8 NorthStar engine, the car performed at 320 horsepower and accelerated to 60 mph in 6 seconds.

The model was also the first to incorporate some tech safety packages, including stability control and blind-spot monitoring. While its 155 mph top speed might be considered slow today, it was more than adequate in its heydays.

2006 Cadillac XLR-V

The 2006 Cadillac XLR-V was a thrilling blend of performance and refinement, half Corvette, half hot rod. With 443 horsepower, the Cadillac XLR-V was a one-of-a-kind version of the Cadillac XLR class that won many hearts.

The engine was a supercharged Northstar 4.4-liter V-8 that could perform well at the low engine speeds typical of luxury cars while still flying to the redline with surprising ferocity. The XLR-V has a top speed of 155 mph, a sprint to 60 mph of 4.7 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 13 seconds.

2020 CT6-V Blackwing

The CT6 debuted in the auto industry in 2015 as part of Cadillac's new Omega platform. Cadillac debuted the CT6-V Blackwing in 2018. It was unlike most of the vehicles on the company's books, bearing some resemblance to high-end German automobiles.

It was also the first GM vehicle to feature a twin-turbo V8 engine. Only 800 units of the vehicle were built before its untimely demise in 2020. The V8 produces 550 horsepower, 640 pound-feet of torque, and has a top speed of 149 miles per hour.
